Rest with the Harp @ Ananda Yoga Belgrave
Saturday 31st January 2026
Combining live harp music with a restorative yoga practice is a unique modality.
It enables participants to enjoy the magical, calming resonance of the harp and soften into the spacious silence between the sounds, promoting a deep state of healing rest.

REST WITH THE HARP
Abide in a tranquil refuge of healing sounds
You are gently guided to set yourself up in restful poses. Your body is supported in positions of comfort and ease with the use of props, such as blankets, bolsters and an eye mask. While cocooned in such restorative poses you can hear the soft resonance of meditative guidance, gentle song and soothing live harp interspersed with spacious silence.
Allow the magical, calming sounds of the harp to transport you to a peaceful state. Your nervous system receives the full benefits of deep rest, resulting in a feeling of relaxation and renewal on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Vasudha specialises in creating innovative, joyful, high quality, inclusive, heart-centred music and yoga experiences.
Her multi-dimensional offerings help people find physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ease and connection within themselves and with the world around them.

Therapeutic effects on various bodily systems: immune, cardio, digestive, etc.

Restorative yoga and Harp therapy induce similar physiological responses (see benefits above).
Ideally we practise restorative poses in a quiet space but this is not always possible due to external noises such as traffic and conversation. Also, while silence may be blissful to some, not everyone finds it peaceful. For some people, being left in silence may turn up their internal noise of anxiety, insecurity, lack of safety and inhibit their ability to relax and rest.
I love to help people find joy, relaxation and freedom through music and yoga. By slowing down and engaging in conscious rest, we not only release tension and develop our ability to relax, we contribute to a more peaceful planet.
